These terms apply to all work carried out by Titanium Property Maintenance ("we", "us"). By accepting a quote or booking work with us, you agree to them.
1. Quotes and prices
Quotes are free and given in writing. A quote is valid for 30 days and is based on the information and access you describe to us. If the job turns out to be materially different once we start — hidden damage, extra work, restricted access — we'll stop, explain it and agree a revised price with you before continuing.
Where work is charged by the hour, the rate is confirmed before we begin. Materials are charged at cost unless the quote says otherwise.
2. Booking and access
Dates are agreed in advance. Please make sure we can access the property and, where relevant, that the working area is clear of belongings, pets and vehicles. If we can't get in or start on the agreed date through no fault of ours, we may charge for reasonable time lost.
3. Payment
Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless we've agreed different terms in writing. Larger jobs may require a deposit towards materials, which will be stated in your quote. We accept bank transfer and cash. Late payments may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where that Act applies.
4. Cancellation and your right to change your mind
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to move or cancel a booking. Where you're a consumer and the contract was agreed away from our premises (for example at your home, by phone or online), you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start within that period and then cancel, we may charge for the work already carried out.
5. Our work
We'll carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and in line with the description in your quote. We'll leave the area clean and remove our waste. If something isn't right, tell us within 30 days and we'll come back and put it right at no charge.
We don't carry out gas, notifiable electrical or structural work. Where a job needs a registered trade or building control approval, we'll tell you and can point you to someone appropriate.
6. Materials and customer-supplied goods
Materials remain our property until paid for in full. Where you supply your own materials or fittings, we'll fit them with care but can't be responsible for their quality, suitability or failure.
7. Insurance and liability
We hold public liability insurance and a certificate is available on request. We're responsible for loss or damage we cause by failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for pre-existing defects, wear and tear, or for losses that were not foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.
8. Photographs
We sometimes photograph completed work for our own portfolio. We'll ask before taking any photograph that identifies your property, and you can say no at any time.
9. Complaints
If you're unhappy with anything, contact us first — most things are sorted with a phone call. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 14.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
